A vintage Pioneer PL-512 belt-drive stereo turntable. The unit features a solid plinth with a beige finish and a clear acrylic dust cover. It is equipped with a manual S-shaped tonearm, adjustable counterweight, and anti-skate control. A rotary switch selects between 33 and 45 RPM speeds. The platter is fitted with a black rubber mat featuring the Pioneer brand name. Connectivity includes integrated power and RCA output cables with gold-plated connectors, alongside a separate ground wire. The lot is accompanied by the original printed operating instructions for the PL-512 model and a fold-out schematic manual for a Pioneer SX-690 AM/FM stereo receiver. The front right of the plinth is marked PIONEER STEREO TURNTABLE MODEL PL-512.
Condition report:
The acrylic dust cover is heavily scuffed and displays significant surface scratching throughout. A small adhesive sticker marked S983P is present on the front left corner of the lid. The plinth and platter show light surface dust and minor cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. The tonearm and headshell appear to be intact. The item is sold as untested.
