A precision target crossbow, likely of British manufacture from the late 20th century. The unit features a custom-shaped hardwood tiller with a deep high-gloss finish, designed with an ergonomic pistol grip and a thumb-rest. The stock is fitted with a specialised metal trigger assembly and a raised metal sight rail supporting a hooded front sight. The prod is constructed from a flat-profile spring metal bar with notched tips. The set includes a multi-strand string with a central serving and reinforced loops. The construction and ergonomic features are consistent with equipment used in competitive target archery.
Condition report:
Presented in a disassembled state. The wooden stock is in good overall condition, showing minor surface scuffs and small indentations from regular use. The metal prod has superficial scuffing near the mounting point. The string is functional but shows light fraying to the strands and serving. The trigger mechanism appears intact but has not been functionally tested.
