An assortment of decorative elephant figurines in various styles and materials. The group includes several carved hardwood elephants, likely ebony or a similar dense tropical timber, featuring white inlaid accents to the eyes, tusks, and feet. Also present is a large, stylized elephant with a smooth black satin finish and cream-coloured tusks, fashioned from ceramic or a dense composite material. The collection further features a realistic cast resin figure with a detailed textured hide and raised trunk, an unusual mixed-media sculpture with a carved wooden body and sheet metal head and ears, and a decorative metal elephant-head stand with engraved geometric motifs mounted on a dark-stained wood base.
Condition report:
The carved hardwood figures exhibit significant desiccation cracks and surface splits consistent with age. Metal components on the mixed-media figure and decorative stand show surface oxidation. A small chip is visible on the tusk of the realistic resin elephant. The entire collection shows general signs of wear, including surface scuffs and dust.
