An assortment of vintage and contemporary costume jewellery including necklaces, pendants, brooches, and an evening bag. The collection features a heavy gold-tone chunky curb link chain with a paper tag marked T9080. Multiple strands of faux pearls are included in white and purple tones. Beaded necklaces consist of red plastic, black faceted, and large mottled brown resin components. Natural materials are represented by a strand of cowrie shells and a necklace with ovoid wooden beads. Pendants include a triangular enamelled piece with abstract organic patterns in yellow, red, and green; an oval paisley enamelled piece; a copper-tone articulated owl with bead eyes; and a brass-tone metal ornament inscribed St Patricks Cathedral Melbourne. The brooch selection contains a silver-tone floral motif set with clear rhinestones, a cloisonné-style enamelled fish, an oval iridescent cabochon, and a small bird pin. A boxed enamel charity pin is included, marked for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth. The gold-tone evening bag is made of glitter-effect fabric with a metal frame and chain handle. A small box containing gold-tone stud earrings and a large brown button are also present.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good condition. There is significant tangling among the various necklace strands which will require careful separation. The evening bag shows light signs of use and minor creasing. Some metal components display surface wear and tarnishing consistent with age and use. The rhinestone brooch appears complete, though the security of individual stones is not verified.
