This lot comprises approximately 20-25 pieces of vintage and contemporary costume jewellery, representing a range of 20th-century styles from mid-century faux pearls to 1980s statement pieces and ethnic-inspired designs. Principal items include a long gold-tone chain necklace interwoven with light blue fabric cord and accented by two large, flat, circular textured metal discs, and a large teardrop-shaped green simulated malachite pendant suspended from a chunky gold-tone and green plastic link chain. The pendant is accompanied by a matching pair of green button-style clip-on earrings on their original card, which is printed with FASHION EARRINGS. The beaded selection includes a multi-strand necklace of faceted glass beads in shades of pink, green, and purple; a long strand of black hematite-style beads featuring two circular red floral enamel pendants; multiple strands of faux pearls; and a long necklace of mottled earth-tone glass beads. Themed and ethnic-inspired pieces include a necklace featuring white and green beads with carved wooden animal charms in the form of a giraffe and zebra, a long necklace constructed from dark brown snail-shell beads, and a necklace featuring a series of suspended rectangular wooden slats. Accessory items include a large rectangular dark green buckle and a silver-tone buckle or connector set with three rows of clear round-cut rhinestones. Also included is a gold-tone wire bangle in a dark blue jewellery box labelled with L967T, a pair of large gold-tone clip-on hoop earrings, and a quantity of tangled silver-tone link chains. The items are primarily constructed from base metals with gold and silver-tone finishes, glass, plastic, resin, faux pearls, wood, shell, and rhinestones. Visible marks include the FASHION EARRINGS retail card, a handwritten label L967T, and a small white tag numbered 11.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally fair to good vintage condition. Several necklaces are significantly tangled and will require attention. There is visible surface wear, light scratches, and some oxidation to the metal finishes consistent with age and varied use. The rhinestone buckle appears to have all stones present, though some have become dulled over time. The items are sold as a mixed lot in as found condition.
