An assortment of empty boxes, featuring antique and vintage presentation cases and storage containers. The group comprises various forms, including rectangular, square, and cylindrical shapes, likely intended for the storage of jewellery, medals, or cutlery. Construction materials include leather, leatherette, and wood. Most cases are fitted with gold-toned metal hinged clasps and closures. One rectangular wooden example is incised with a Jerusalem cross symbol above the word Jerusalem. The colour palette is predominantly black, alongside examples in blue, maroon, and red.
Condition report:
The collection displays signs of age-related wear throughout. Visible defects include significant edge wear and surface loss on several cases, notably a long rectangular black box showing a red under-material at the corners. General scuffing, minor nicks to the coverings, and tarnishing to the metal hardware are present across the lot. Some paper labels are detached or illegible.
