This lot comprises three large-format publications focused on art and graphic illustration. The first item is Yragael Urm by Philippe Druillet, a softcover graphic novel published by Dragon’s Dream. The cover features a blue-skinned skeletal warrior holding an ornate golden sword against a red and orange gradient. The second item is Later Japanese Prints by Richard Illing, a softcover art reference book featuring a cover illustration of a woman in a floral kimono and containing sixty-five illustrations, thirty-three of which are in colour. The third item is a softcover book titled Japanese Prints, featuring a red border and a central ukiyo-e print of a woman with a handheld mirror. This volume includes Japanese script in a blue circular cartouche and a vertical column of characters to the right of the central image. The Japanese Prints volume bears a small white adhesive label to the top right corner with the handwritten characters S 983 P. The Yragael Urm volume has an auction lot label from Sholbrook & Co numbered 445 on the lower left corner.
Condition report:
The condition of the lot is mixed. Yragael Urm shows surface rubbing, edge wear, and minor bumping to the corners. Later Japanese Prints exhibits significant condition issues, including a large brown damp stain and heavy foxing along the left margin and lower left corner of the front cover, along with general toning. The Japanese Prints volume shows moderate wear to the edges and corners with minor creasing and light surface toning.
