This lot comprises a collection of three wooden cutlery boxes designed for flatware storage.
The first item is a mahogany-finished canteen manufactured by Reed and Barton of Taunton, Massachusetts. The rectangular case features a lift-up lid set with an unengraved brass plaque and a single lower drawer. It is fitted with brass-toned bail handles to the sides. The interior is lined with black anti-tarnish cloth and contains fitted slots for flatware. An oval maker label is located on the interior lid.
The second item is a cabinet-style canteen in dark-stained wood. The exterior is decorated with a carved Greek key border to the top and fluted pilasters to the front. It features a lift-up lid, two drawers with decorative circular brass pulls, and a top-mounted heavy brass swing handle. The interior is finished with bright blue velvet lining.
The third item is an oak canteen with a bow-front design. It includes a lift-up lid and a single drawer fitted with two circular brass-toned knobs. The interior is lined with black velvet and contains a single silver-tone dessert spoon.

Condition report:

All pieces exhibit signs of age and domestic use. The Reed and Barton canteen has surface scratches and scuffing, particularly to the lid and corners. The cabinet-style box shows significant finish wear and heavy scratching to the top surface. The oak canteen displays minor moisture rings and general scuffing to the lid. Internal linings are largely intact with minor particulate matter present. Drawer and lid mechanisms are functional.
