A contemporary country style chest of drawers constructed throughout from solid pine. The rectangular top features rounded bullnose edges above a configuration of two short drawers over three long, full-width graduated drawers. The sides are formed of solid pine panels. Each drawer is fitted with matching turned wooden pine knobs and operates on traditional wooden runners. The drawer construction includes machine-joined pine sides and bottoms. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are present.
Condition report:
The item is in good used condition with signs of domestic wear consistent with age. The top surface shows several light scratches, scuffs, and small indentations, as well as minor areas of finish wear. General small nicks and dings are visible to the edges and corners. Drawer interiors show light usage marks but remain clean. The clear lacquer finish has matured to a warm honey tone but exhibits some unevenness and fading in high-traffic areas.
