Estimated price: £5 - £10

Buyer's Premium:

Two mid-20th century circular wall mirrors, each featuring a convex glass plate. The first mirror is designed in a Butler’s style, set within a wide, flat, black-painted circular mount. It is embellished with six applied gilt-metal floral ornaments, each composed of five pointed leaves radiating from a central red-coloured cabochon bead. A narrow gilt-beaded inner border defines the edge of the convex mirror plate, and it is suspended by a twisted cord. The second mirror features a black-painted wrought metal frame with an openwork design of scrolling wirework interspersed with twelve applied ivy leaves. The leaves are finished with subtle gilt or bronze-toned highlights to the edges. This mirror is suspended by a cord attached to a metal hanging loop. A white adhesive tag with the characters L 6 7 7 T is visible in the reflection of one mirror plate.

Condition report:

Both items show minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The frames exhibit minor dust and light surface abrasions to the black-painted and gilt finishes. All applied decorative elements, including the floral ornaments, beads, and ivy leaves, appear present. The convex glass plates are in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant foxing or silvering loss.
