An assortment of decorative items featuring elephant and mythological motifs. The collection includes a group of elephant head wall plaques hand-carved from a dark tropical hardwood consistent with ebony. These plaques are rendered with varied trunk positions and flared ears, featuring inset tusks made from a contrasting light-coloured material. Also included is a rectangular dark wood relief panel featuring a deeply carved central mythological figure, possibly a Hamsa, surrounded by intricate foliate scrollwork. The lot is completed by a framed mixed-media relief depicting three metallic-finish elephants walking on a tusk-shaped base, accompanied by a printed motto concerning kindness. A partial paper label with the text RETAIL PRICE is present on the shelf surface.
Condition report:
All items show signs of age with significant accumulated surface dust and grime. One elephant plaque has both tusks detached, with one tusk lying loose. Several other plaques appear to be missing tusks. The wood surfaces exhibit minor scuffs, finish wear, and light scratches throughout. The framed piece has dust present behind the glass and wear to the frame edges.
