The shade is fitted with a top-mounted push-button switch. The lower tubular arm is stamped with the maker’s mark Herbert Terry and Sons Ltd England. This lot includes the original cardboard transit box and a red factory guarantee hangtag. The hangtag identifies the item as Model No. 90 and includes a stamped inspector’s number 15 75 1756. The electrical cord is original, and the factory documentation specifies the unit is double insulated, requiring no earth wire, bearing the British Standard Kitemark for BS 4533 – 2.4.
Condition report:
The lamp is in excellent condition, appearing as new old stock. The black finish retains a high gloss throughout with no significant scratches, chips, or signs of use. The springs and articulating joints are fully functional. The original red hangtag is present and well-preserved. The original cardboard transit box is included but shows signs of storage and age, including surface scuffing, creasing, and minor tearing to the top flaps. The electrical components are untested and must be inspected by a qualified electrician prior to use.
