The 2022 Humanium Peace Medal, struck in Humanium metal, a material produced from the recycling of illegal firearms. The obverse design presents three nude allegorical male figures in a circular composition, a design arrangement inspired by the Nobel Peace Prize medal. The central motif is surrounded by a multi-language border featuring the word for peace in various tongues: PAIX, RAUHA, FRED, TAIKA, and MIR. The reverse depicts a peace dove in profile amongst floral sprays, encircled by the English inscription PEACE FOR HUMANITY AND THE BROTHERHOOD OF MEN. The piece is housed in a clear acrylic capsule and a red velvet-lined presentation case. It is sold with its original certificate of authenticity and an information card featuring the Hu symbol for Humanium Metal.
Condition report:
Brilliant uncirculated. The medal exhibits strong original mint lustre and appears free from any handling marks, scratches, or wear. The presentation box and certificate are in excellent, as-issued condition.
