Buyer's Premium:

A collection of gold-layered commemorative coins and a modified historical piece, primarily issued under the authority of Gibraltar and the United Kingdom and distributed by The London Mint Office. The group features two Gibraltar Half Crowns: a 2024 issue marking the 80th Anniversary of D-Day with an Operation Overlord reverse, and a 2023 issue featuring the King Charles III Royal Cypher. Both modern coins bear the Raphael Maklouf effigy of HM King Charles III on the obverse. The collection includes a “Golden Britannia Penny,” an original 1967 UK penny layered in 24ct gold with colourised accents on the Britannia reverse. Additional pieces comprise a “One Crown” coin titled “The Lone Soldier” and two further military commemoratives, one listing First World War battle sites including the Somme and Ypres, and another depicting the D-Day landings at Arromanches-les-Bains. The modern issues are struck in base metal and finished in 24ct Fairmined gold. Items are presented in protective acrylic capsules and accompanied by their respective Certificates of Authenticity and presentation folders.
