This is a varied collection of decorative elephant figurines and novelty items in a range of materials, including glazed ceramics, porcelain, soapstone, wood, and metal. The primary pieces include a large, high-gloss black glazed ceramic elephant in a standing position with a raised trunk and gilded accents on the tusks and feet. Also included are two medium-sized standing elephants with a pale celadon-green glaze and moulded textural details. The porcelain selection features two elephant-head wall hooks, one decorated with green scroll motifs and the other with blue, alongside an assortment of miniature figurines with hand-painted turquoise, red, and floral decorations. Hand-carved items comprise several small soapstone elephants in shades of pink and white, a detailed wooden elephant, and a small dark-patinated metal figurine. Novelty pieces include a painted pebble elephant head mounted on a wooden base, a translucent red resin keyring, and multiple small pink composite figurines. Several items retain white adhesive price labels.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good vintage condition. The larger glazed ceramic pieces appear free from significant chips or cracks, although the black elephant shows minor surface wear to the gilded accents. The small porcelain miniatures are largely intact, with possible minor losses to the tips of trunks consistent with their age and material. Natural variations are present in the hand-carved stone and wood pieces. General surface dust and adhesive residue from old labels are visible on several items.
