A 22-carat yellow gold wedding band of D-section form. The interior of the band is struck with a suite of hallmarks comprising the crown and 22 purity marks for 22-carat gold, the anchor symbol for the Birmingham assay office, and the date letter s for 1917. A maker mark is present, partially legible as S & followed by an illegible character. The interior also features a separate circular stamp of the letter O, indicating the ring size.
Weight: 2.42g.
Condition report:
The ring is noticeably misshapen and out of round. It shows general surface wear, including fine scratches and small nicks consistent with age and regular use.
