This lot comprises a group of fourteen hand-blown glass elephant figurines in various sizes and colourways, primarily in shades of ruby red and pink. The collection consists of seven large ruby red elephants, five pink elephants ranging from light blush to deep rose, and one small smoky-clear elephant. The pieces are formed from solid or cased glass, with several examples featuring ground and polished bases.
The collection includes specific manufacturer attributions. One large ruby elephant features an etched mark on the base depicting a stylized glassblower figure with the text LANGHAM ENGLAND. Another ruby example retains a black and silver rectangular foil label for Langham Glass House. One pink elephant bears a blue circular adhesive label on the base reading MADE IN KING’S LYNN and CAITHNESS GLASS. Additionally, one ruby elephant has a handwritten paper label to the base reading Ruby Wedding 1997.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs were noted upon inspection. There is expected minor shelf wear and light surface scratching to the ground glass bases consistent with age and display.
