A large collection of approximately 50 pre-recorded audio cassettes primarily comprising 1950s and 1960s rock ‘n’ roll, pop, and skiffle nostalgia compilations. The group includes several multi-volume series such as The Shadows Collection (Volumes 1, 2, and 3), Golden Memories of the 60s (Volumes 2, 3, 4, and 5), Hits of the 60’s (Volumes 2, 3, and 4), Hits of the 50’s (Volumes 2 and 3), 25 Rock ‘n’ Roll Hits (Volumes 1 to 4), and The Best of Skiffle (Volumes 1, 2, and 3). Featured artists include Jim Reeves (40 Golden Greats, 24 Love Songs, The Definitive Jim Reeves), Buddy Holly (20 Golden Greats, Greatest Hits), The Ventures (Legendary Masters Series), Billy Fury (The World of Billy Fury), The Troggs (Greatest Hits), The Searchers, Anne Shelton, Glen Campbell, Bill Haley and his Comets, and Cliff Richard & The Shadows (The Young Ones). Miscellaneous titles include Savile’s Time Travels, Hello Children (Volumes 1 and 2), 50 Tunes The Sea-Side Wurlitzer, and Hit Mix 86. The cassettes are issued on various labels including Reader’s Digest, Music for Pleasure (MFP), EMI, Decca, Arcade, MCA, Dino Entertainment, Disky, and Flash. These are UK market releases.
Condition report:
Media: Magnetic tapes and pressure pads are visually present but have not been individually tested for playback. J-cards/Sleeves: Generally intact with some minor fading or yellowing to the spines. Cases: Show varying degrees of shelf wear including surface scuffing and light scratches. One case features a white adhesive sticker with handwritten markings. One tape (Savile\'s Time Travels) is missing its outer jewel case and is presented on a black plastic mount. Overall condition is consistent with a previously played private collection, typically Good to Very Good.
