A collection of approximately 60 to 70 vinyl records, primarily LPs, consisting of rock, pop, soundtracks, stage musicals, and classical recordings. The collection features several notable pressings by The Beatles. Included is a United Kingdom 2-LP double album set of 1962-1966 (The Red Album) on Apple Records, catalogue number PCSP 717, featuring the original red lyric inner sleeves and gatefold jacket. Also present is a Canadian 2-LP pressing of 1967-1970 (The Blue Album) on Capitol Records, catalogue number SKBO 3404, manufactured by Capitol Records-EMI of Canada Limited in Mississauga, Ontario, including original blue lyric inner sleeves. The lot includes a United Kingdom pressing of Abbey Road on Apple Records, catalogue number PCS 7088, with a sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse International Ltd., and a United Kingdom pressing of The Beatles Concerto by Rostal & Schaefer on Parlophone/EMI, catalogue number PAS 10014. Other titles include Geoff Love & His Orchestra Big Bond Movie Themes and Big Terror Movie Themes on the MFP label, Andrew Lloyd Webber stage recordings for Starlight Express and Song & Dance, and classical works such as Bizet-Shchedrin The Carmen Ballet performed by the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. The collection is accompanied by a Scotch Dustguard Turntable Mat in its original retail packaging.
Condition report:
Vinyl media generally appears to be in Very Good visual condition, retaining a bright sheen with minor surface dust and light paper scuffs present. The Beatles 1962-1966 (Red Album): Media VG, Sleeve VG with visible shelf wear and corner scuffing; original inner sleeves show light age-toning. The Beatles 1967-1970 (Blue Album): Media VG, Sleeve VG with edge wear; original blue inner sleeves present. Abbey Road: Media VG, Sleeve G/VG with noticeable ring wear, edge fraying, and significant yellowing to the inner sleeve. The Beatles Concerto: Media VG+, Sleeve VG. The remainder of the collection shows typical signs of use including shelf wear, bumped corners, and age-related toning to sleeves and inserts.
