This lot consists of an assortment of specialist upholstery tools and consumables. Included is an orange electric staple gun, possibly manufactured by Rapid, housed in a grey plastic carry case with a black power cord and a UK three-pin plug. Hand tools comprise a wooden webbing stretcher featuring a central dowel, three putty knives or scrapers with wooden handles, two metal-bodied utility knives, and a small metal file. Also present are two wooden mitre boxes, one of which is inscribed with FURNI-SERV, a green plastic spirit level, and a marking gauge or awl in a plastic packet. The collection includes a quantity of consumables: multiple boxes of Rapid brand staples in sizes 13/10 and 13/14, a vintage box of John James and Sons upholstery pins or skewers (Art No C5081, 16 gauge, 4 inch), and a box of Fisco upholstery nails. The items are stored within a blue plastic crate and various cardboard containers.
Condition report:
Items are in a used condition typical of workshop environments. The metal components of the scrapers show visible surface oxidation and rust. Wooden handles exhibit scuffs, staining, and general wear from handling. The cardboard packaging for the staples and pins shows age-related wear, including tearing and creasing. The electric tool is untested for functional status.
