A group of mid-20th century and late Victorian/Edwardian domestic items. The enamelware component includes a large cream-coloured lidded storage bin with green trim, featuring a commemorative transfer decal depicting Queen Elizabeth II, alongside three tapered pitchers of varying sizes with red and blue rim detailing. The glassware component comprises an aqua glass Codd-neck mineral water bottle embossed with Trade Mark Dubbins Mineral Waters Devonport, containing its original internal marble stopper. Also included is a clear rectangular bottle embossed for Boots The Chemists and an aqua glass medicine bottle featuring embossed tablespoon graduations for II, IIII, VI, VIII, and X, retaining a partial cork stopper and an illegible London manufacturer mark.
Condition report:
All items exhibit significant age-related wear and distress. The enamelware shows extensive oxidation, heavy rust spots at the seams, bases, and handles, and multiple areas of enamel chipping. The largest pitcher displays internal spider-web crazing and rust staining. The glassware shows general surface clouding, ground-in dirt, and internal residue, with the medicine bottle exhibiting heavy mineral encrustation to the exterior.
