An assortment of 20th-century British silver-plated flatware and hollowware. The collection features two cased sets of six silver-plated teaspoons by Arthur Price of England in the Hampton Court pattern, one set including a care guide for Community Plate. Hollowware items include a rectangular entrée dish with a gadrooned border and detachable handle, two wine coasters with pierced galleries and turned wooden bases, a cut-glass sugar sifter with a silver-plated pierced top, and a cut-glass preserve bowl in a wirework stand with a coordinating spoon. A large quantity of loose cutlery is included, featuring forks, spoons, and knives with cream synthetic handles. Serving pieces include a large beaded edge soup ladle, a pierced blade cake server, various large serving spoons, and a novelty spoon engraved with a recipe-style text. One grey presentation box marked Culinary Concepts London is also present. Markings include Arthur Price of England, Master Cutlers and Silversmiths since 1902, Genuine Sheffield Cutlery.
Condition report:
The items exhibit widespread surface tarnishing and oxidation typical of silver plate. Loose flatware shows signs of regular use with surface scratches and light wear to the plated finish. Presentation boxes show exterior scuffing and shelf wear. Glass elements appear to be in good order without significant chips or cracks.
