A Casio model RT-2100 tabletop radio designed in the classic cathedral style. The unit features a wood-effect cabinet with an arched top and vertical side mouldings. The front features a circular analogue tuning dial with a brass-coloured face and a clear plastic cover. An embossed metal bezel surrounding the dial includes the year 1934. The radio covers FM (87.5-108 MHz) and AM (525-1640 kHz) broadcast bands. Controls include three rotary knobs for volume, power (on/off), tuning, and a band selector switch labeled AM FM AFC. The speaker grille is lined with a cross-hatch patterned fabric visible through ornate cut-outs in the wood-effect fascia. The rear panel is made of perforated fibreboard and bears an identification label for Casio Electronics Co., Ltd., indicating it was manufactured in China. The unit is powered by a 240V 50Hz AC mains connection.
Condition report:
The radio shows significant accumulation of dust and lint within the grille and cabinet crevices. The wood-effect finish has minor surface scratches and light wear to the bottom edges. The plastic dial cover exhibits some superficial scuffing. The power cord is intact; however, the unit is untested for functional operation.
