A late 19th or early 20th-century oil-burning table lamp of classic form. The lamp is constructed from brass and features a stepped, circular base rising to a fluted columnar stem. The oil reservoir or font is tiered in design, supporting a burner assembly with a decorative pierced gallery and a side-lever for wick adjustment. It is topped with a tall, clear glass chimney of a standard bulbous-base profile. This lamp remains in its original non-electrified configuration. There are no maker’s marks, hallmarks, or signatures visible on the metal surfaces or the burner.
Condition report:
The brass surfaces exhibit an aged patina with general oxidation and minor surface scratches consistent with use and age. No significant dents are visible on the font or base. The glass chimney appears to be in good condition, free from visible cracks or major chips. The wick adjustment lever is present; however, the internal mechanism has not been tested for functionality.
