Buyer's Premium:

A collection of artworks and decorative objects featuring topographic, architectural, and pastoral subjects in various media. The group includes an ink drawing titled N° 827 – MONTAUBAN – Saint Jacques signed Yves Ducourtioux; a framed three-panel work signed Barham depicting young women in a landscape; a limited edition print numbered 121/250 signed Arie den Hollander; and an ink and watercolour street scene inscribed Warszawa 86. The suite also contains a coloured engraving of Durham from the North East by Thomas Allom and William Le Petit, dated 1834, and a watercolour of the Brugge Begijnhof with a monogram signature. Additionally, the lot features two reverse-painted glass commemorative panels for the 1924 British Empire Exhibition at Wembley showing the Indian Pavilion and South African Pavilion, and a pair of small framed gold scrollwork panels on a black ground.


Condition report:

General wear to the frames including surface scuffs, minor chips, and dust accumulation. The two 1924 reverse-painted glass panels are in poor condition with significant lifting, flaking, and loss of the painted medium. Minor toning and occasional light foxing are present on several of the paper supports.
