An assortment of contemporary walking aids and umbrellas housed in a wicker storage stand. The collection comprises two metal walking sticks, both fitted with black rubber ferrules; one features a light-coloured wooden Derby handle and a shaft decorated with a blue and pink floral pattern, while the other has a dark composite Derby handle and a dark paisley patterned shaft. Included are three umbrellas: one featuring a light wooden crook handle and a brown and white pictorial print canopy, one with a matching wooden crook handle and a black and white geometric pattern, and one classic black umbrella with a crook handle and matching fabric sleeve. Also present is a novelty red plastic pointing stick with a yellow hand-shaped tip, bearing the white printed inscription: Push the button, not your luck. Walk Wisely. Be sure you test yours every week. The umbrella stand is of cylindrical form, hand-woven from natural willow wicker with an integral high-arched hoop handle.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition with signs of wear consistent with age and regular use. The wicker basket shows minor fraying and some broken strands to the weave but remains structurally sound. The walking sticks exhibit wear to the rubber ferrules and light surface scratching to the decorated shafts; one stick retains a small illegible adhesive label. Umbrellas have not been deployed to check the condition of the internal mechanisms or fabric canopies. The novelty pointer shows minor surface scuffing to the red plastic shaft.
