A late 20th-century contemporary reproduction high bow-fronted open bookcase manufactured by Furnitureland Ltd. The unit is constructed with yew wood veneers, featuring a crossbanded top surface accented with dark stringing inlay. The bookcase is of single-section upright form with a curved bow front and contains four open, bow-fronted adjustable shelves. Multiple peg holes are present in the interior sides to accommodate shelf height adjustment. A green adhesive manufacturer label is located on the back panel, printed with the text FURNITURELAND LTD, 120419501, HI07 5828 5608, HIGH BOW FRONTED BOOK YEW, and 04195 ROBERTSON P-MA EL312 YEW. The label is further inscribed with the handwritten name Robertson and the figures 25/4 in black marker.
Condition report:
The top surface exhibits scattered light surface scratches and minor signs of wear consistent with domestic use. There is a significant area of white bloom or clouding to the finish on one side/back panel, likely caused by exposure to heat or moisture. Minor scuffing is visible on the interior surfaces and shelves from use.
