A collection of fourteen hand-blown glass animal figures, primarily featuring stylized elephants. The group includes thirteen elephants in various sizes and colourways alongside one seated figure of a lion or cat in amber glass. The colour palette comprises two large amber examples, several ruby red and dark amber pieces, a marbled white and purple example, a black example with red speckles, a bicolour blue and red piece, and two mottled smoky glass examples. The pieces are crafted from solid, heavy-gauge glass. Multiple figurines in the collection bear circular acid-etched marks to the base for Wedgwood, England. Some of these examples are part of the glass animal range produced by the Wedgwood factory between the late 1960s and the 1980s.
Condition report:
The figurines are in good overall condition. There is visible surface scratching and shelf wear consistent with age to the polished bases of several pieces. One marbled elephant retains a small white adhesive label. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs to the trunks, ears, or tails were noted upon inspection.
