This collection features a diverse group of vintage decorative and utilitarian objects. Included are several polished banded agate slices in natural shades of sienna, ochre, and carnelian red, alongside a single dyed blue specimen, many of which are fitted with silver-tone bails. A vintage sewing or vanity set is present, housed in a blue velvet-lined case containing tools with cream-coloured handles and steel scissors. Carved elements made of a cream-coloured organic material include an elephant figurine, a turtle, a graduated bead necklace, and two fan-shaped components with silver-tone granulated mounts. The lot also contains various mother-of-pearl items including buckles, slides, a floral pendant, and a cross. Additional jewellery includes a pink quartz teardrop pendant and a green hardstone carving. Three pocket knives are included: one with mother-of-pearl scales, one with cream-coloured scales, and a silver-tone metal case knife stamped with the text TOWNEHEAD Quality YARNS.
Condition report:
The items are in fair condition with signs of age and use. There is visible adhesive residue on a bone pin element. Minor edge chipping is noted on some of the agate specimens. The storage case for the vanity set shows surface wear and scuffing to the exterior.
