A large collection of assorted vintage and contemporary costume jewellery including necklaces, bracelets, pendants, brooches, and earrings. The lot features a graduated clear rhinestone fringe necklace in a silver-tone Art Deco style setting, a double-strand faux pearl necklace, and a fringe necklace composed of polished mother-of-pearl shell chips. Pendants and brooches include two oval examples in ornate silver-tone frames depicting a classical-style portrait and a floral spray, a rectangular brooch with a raised floral motif set against a mother-of-pearl backing, and a circular openwork pendant set with multi-coloured glass cabochons. Also present is a large oval glass or resin cabochon pendant with green and brown marbled swirls. The selection of bracelets includes a wide polished silver-tone bangle, a multi-strand beaded bracelet with red and gold-tone accents, and a turquoise-coloured beaded bracelet. The items are housed in a rectangular brown textured leatherette jewellery case with a brass-tone latch and a top carry handle. The interior is lined with a tan suedette material and includes a removable divided tray and a ring bar. No maker’s marks or hallmarks were identified on the individual jewellery items.
Condition report:
The collection is in varied, used condition. Many items within the case are tangled. There is visible surface wear and tarnishing to the base metal plating on several pieces. One faux pearl necklace has a loose or broken strand near the clasp. Potential minor losses to small stones may be present consistent with bulk lots of this nature.
