A contemporary leaded glass table lamp distributed by Widdop Bingham and Co. Ltd. The lamp features a twelve-sided dodecagonal shade constructed from cream marbled slag glass panels. The lower edge of the shade is decorated with a geometric fretwork band in amber and dark brown glass, framed by thin borders of red glass. The shade is topped with a pierced dark metal heat cap and a cast finial. The lamp is supported by a cast metal base with a bronze-effect patinated finish, featuring a fluted organic stem and a circular foot decorated with a low-relief foliate pattern. The underside of the base retains several original manufacturer and distributor labels, including the Comego inspection pass and Widdop Bingham and Co. Ltd. identification, with an item number of L1712 and a date of July 2003. The lamp is equipped with a black power cord, inline rocker switch, and a standard UK three-pin plug.
Condition report:
The lamp is in very good overall condition. The stained glass shade appears free of cracks, chips, or missing segments, and the leaded joins are secure. The metal base shows light surface dust and minor age-related wear to the finish but remains structurally sound. The electrical fittings appear intact, though professional PAT testing is recommended for all second-hand electrical items prior to use.
