An assortment of vintage costume jewellery brooches and pins featuring a variety of figural, botanical, and abstract designs. The collection includes several figural pieces: a gold-tone camel embellished with clear rhinestones; a running horse pin set with rhinestones; a duckling pin with simulated pearl accents; an enamelled pin of a figure in red; a winged cupid pin; and a miniature trumpet. Botanical designs include a floral brooch with a large faceted green central stone bordered by rhinestones; a leaf-shaped brooch densely set with simulated pearls and three central clear rhinestones; gold-tone leaf brooches; a silver-tone rose; and a gold-tone rose with a single simulated pearl. The group further comprises various bar brooches of differing lengths, some set with small rhinestones; a stick pin with a faceted purple stone; a circular wreath-style pin with simulated pearls; and an oval brooch with a large faceted orange stone. Constructed from gold-tone and silver-tone base metal. Fastening mechanisms include standard rollover safety clasps, simple C-clasps, a stick pin with protector, and a clutch-back style fastening. No maker’s marks are visible.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition for vintage costume jewellery. Minor surface wear and light tarnishing are present, consistent with age and use, notably on the gold-tone plating of some pieces. All rhinestones and simulated pearls appear to be present in their settings.
