An assortment of items including a red Victorinox multi-tool pocket knife and three vintage folding pocket knives, together with a traditional Chinese musical instrument. The Victorinox knife features red Cellidor scales with the silver-tone cross-in-shield logo. The three vintage folding knives include one with white pearlescent composition handles and two with black jigged composition handles. These three vintage examples are constructed with nickel silver bolsters and shield-shaped handle inlays, and two include integrated lanyard bails. The transverse bamboo flute, or Dizi, is crafted from wood and features seven circular apertures. The body is decorated with a hand-painted phoenix motif in red, yellow, and green pigments. Markings on the flute include blue Chinese characters reading 中国天津 (Tianjin, China) and red characters reading 红厂 (Red Factory).
Condition report:
The items show various signs of age and previous use. The pocket knives exhibit surface oxidation and tarnishing to the steel blades and nickel silver bolsters. The Victorinox scales show light surface scratching. The flute displays minor surface abrasions and some wear to the painted decoration.
