A large and varied collection of costume and fashion jewellery comprising numerous necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, and brooches. The lot includes a prominent large enamelled flower brooch in shades of green and blue, a Native American-style beaded collar in red, white, and black, and several multi-strand chains in both yellow and silver-tone base metals. Other notable items include a purple and turquoise acrylic disk necklace on a ribbon, a gold-tone octagonal box with intricate scrolled engraving, several faux-pearl strands, and various beaded pieces featuring glass, wood, and plastic. Pendants include a turquoise-coloured disk, a circular silver-tone pendant engraved with the word Serenity, and an oval silver-tone pendant engraved with a cursive inscription containing the words I think me read books be happy. Construction techniques include simple stringing, cast metal forms, and enamelled finishes. A paper tag attached to the purple necklace bears the printed word THE.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits extensive tangling across multiple necklaces and chains. Minor surface oxidation and tarnishing are visible on the gold-tone and silver-tone base metal items. Adhesive residue and price or lot stickers are present on several items and pouches. The lot shows general wear consistent with a mixed group of used costume jewellery.
