A Pye model 1613 integrated stereo music system. The unit is housed in a wood-effect veneer cabinet with a black plastic control fascia and a smoked plastic hinged dust cover. This solid-state system comprises a two-speed belt-drive turntable (33 and 45 RPM), a top-loading cassette deck with auto-stop function and mechanical tape counter, and a three-band radio receiver for VHF (FM), MW, and LW frequencies. The fascia features a horizontal analogue tuning dial with a linear frequency scale and a red needle indicator, alongside an integrated green LED digital electronic clock. Control interfaces include rotary knobs for tuning, volume, balance, treble, and bass. Toggle and push-button switches are provided for Tape Hi Filter, AFC, RIF, Bias, and Standby-On. Front-panel connections include a DIN microphone input and a headphone jack. A label on the turntable mat displays the Pye logo and PYE STEREO – MUSICSYSTEM. The rear manufacturer label identifies the model as 1613, serial number 752765, and states it was manufactured in the Philippines for Pye Ltd., Cambridge, England.
Condition report:
The unit is in used condition. The smoked plastic dust cover exhibits extensive and heavy scratching and scuffing across the top surface. There is a general buildup of surface dust and grime throughout the controls and recessed areas. The wood-effect cabinet shows minor wear and knocks to the edges. The item is sold as untested; functional status of the turntable, cassette deck, and radio is unknown.
