A vintage Singer Model 185K electric sewing machine featuring a two-tone tan and brown finish. The machine is mounted on a wooden base and housed within a brown textured carrying case with a light-coloured handle. The machine arm bears the SINGER branding, and the top of the body is stamped THE SINGER MANUFACTURING Co. MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN. A metal plate on the pillar is marked 185K above a stitch length adjustment lever with numerical settings from 6 to 30. The attached electric motor is marked CAT. S-4. The lot includes two electric foot pedals, one brown and one black, along with power cables fitted with UK 3-pin plugs. Also included is a small assortment of accessories in a plastic bag and two paper manuals: one for a Singer 457 and one for a Toyota home RS2000 SD/U SD Series.
Condition report:
The sewing machine and wooden base exhibit surface scuffs and minor finish wear consistent with age and use. The Singer 457 manual shows significant wear, including creasing and tearing. The functional and electrical condition of the machine, motor, and foot pedals is untested.
