An Oakham double wardrobe constructed from wood and composite materials with a uniform cream painted finish. The piece features a Shaker-style design with two doors, each containing two inset vertical panels and matching inset panels to the sides. The exterior includes a flat-fronted overhanging top cornice and stands on four square legs with simple arched aprons to the sides. The interior is finished to match the exterior and contains a wooden hanging rail across the main section and a vertical divider on the left-hand side creating a smaller compartment with a single fixed shelf. Each door is fitted with a single turned wooden knob in a matching finish and mounted on three modern concealed metal cup hinges with magnetic catches. A small rectangular blue and white label is present on the right-hand side of the interior base. The back panel is intact and secured with screws.
Condition report:
The wardrobe is in good used condition. There are minor scuffs and marks to the paintwork consistent with normal use and storage, particularly around the base and feet. The interior and hanging rail appear well-maintained and the doors function correctly on their hinges.
