Buyer's Premium:

This assortment of decorative objects comprises a variety of late 19th and early 20th-century silver and silver-tone items. Included is a rectangular vesta case featuring high-relief repoussé decoration of scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and shell motifs. The case features a side-hinged lid, a striker to the base, and two central cartouches; one is vacant with surface scratching, while the other is engraved with an interlaced monogram. A group of decanter labels includes a rectangular Sherry ticket with a shell and scroll border, an oval Brandy ticket with a beaded and foliate scroll border, and a similar oval Whiskey ticket complete with a suspension chain. A collection of thimbles contains four metal examples with various engine-turned and diaper patterns, alongside a porcelain thimble featuring hand-painted pink rose blossoms. Two telescopic writing instruments are present: one with a cross-hatched engine-turned body and suspension ring, and a simpler cylindrical lead holder. The lot is completed by a panel bracelet consisting of twelve rectangular links, each depicting a figure in raised relief representing zodiac signs or mythological scenes, fitted with a safety chain and ring clasp.

Condition report:

All items exhibit varying degrees of age-related tarnish and surface oxidation. The vesta case shows moderate surface wear and fine scratches to the polished cartouches, though the hinge remains functional. The Whiskey decanter label shows a yellowish tone to the metal. One metal thimble appears slightly out of round, while the porcelain example is free of visible cracks or chips. The bracelet shows significant tarnish within the relief details; the clasp and safety chain are intact. The functionality of the telescopic writing instruments has not been verified.
