This lot comprises a pair of 2018 commemorative medallic items issued to mark the engagement and wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The first item is a 2018 United Kingdom five pound silver proof coin struck in .925 Ag silver, featuring the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and a double portrait of the couple on the reverse. The coin is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from The Royal Mint, numbered 04843, and an illustrated booklet titled To Have and to Hold. The second item is a 24-carat gold-plated copper commemorative medal by The Jubilee Mint. The obverse displays an HM monogram beneath a coronet with the inscription HRH PRINCE HENRY OF WALES · RACHEL MEGHAN MARKLE ·, while the reverse shows four shields and national emblems with the Latin legend REGNUM UNITUM MAGNAE BRITANNIAE ET HIBERNIAE SEPTENTRIONALIS. The medal is presented in a capsule with an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity and a black pouch.
