This lot comprises one 2018 The Royal Mint The Queen’s Beasts series silver five pound coin. Struck in 999.9 fine silver, the coin features the Unicorn of Scotland design. The obverse displays the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by designer Jody Clark set against a textured guilloché background, with the legend reading ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 5 POUNDS. The reverse depicts a rampant unicorn supporting a shield featuring the royal arms of Scotland, inscribed UNICORN OF SCOTLAND 2 oz FINE SILVER 999.9 2018, with the designer’s initials JC visible to the base. The coin is housed in a protective clear plastic capsule and presented in a black Jubilee Mint case with a white satin-lined interior. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from The Jubilee Mint, numbered 1620 and signed by Michael J. Byrne. The certificate lists the coin’s specifications as Metal: 999.9 Fine Silver, Quality: Uncirculated, Diameter: 38.61mm, and Weight: 62.42g.

The coin appears to be in brilliant uncirculated condition as stated on the accompanying documentation. There are no visible surface marks, scratches, or toning to either the obverse (photo 3) or reverse (photo 4). The coin remains housed in its protective clear plastic capsule. The presentation case and Certificate of Authenticity are in good condition with no visible defects (photo 1 and photo 2).
