A 2018 Jubilee Mint Alderney silver proof five pound coin issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Dam Busters raid. The coin is struck in .925 sterling silver and features a reverse design depicting two Avro Lancaster bombers in flight over an enemy dam, with a representation of a bouncing bomb in the water below. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D ALDERNEY C.I. 2018. This coin is housed in its black leatherette Jubilee Mint presentation case with a white card outer sleeve which bears a handwritten ink notation reading Top. A Certificate of Authenticity is included, bearing the printed signature of Michael J. Byrne, which identifies the piece as part of a limited edition of 2,018 worldwide. According to the accompanying documentation, the design was approved by Buckingham Palace.

The coin is in excellent proof condition, exhibiting highly mirrored fields and frosted devices with no visible signs of wear, toning, or contact marks (photos 1 and 2). The presentation case and certificate are well-preserved; the outer cardboard sleeve has a handwritten ink notation on the front (photo 1).
