This lot comprises one 2018 Alderney sterling silver proof five pound coin, produced to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is struck in .925 sterling silver to a proof finish. The obverse displays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of the monarch with the inscription ‘ELIZABETH II • DEI • GRA • REGINA • ALDERNEY • C.I. • 2018 •’. The reverse depicts the monarch in coronation robes and the Imperial State Crown, accompanied by a ’65’ crown logo, the dates ‘1953-2018’, and ‘FIVE POUNDS’ at the base.
The coin is housed within a clear protective plastic capsule and presented in a black case with a white satin and velvet lining, the interior lid of which is gold printed with a crown symbol above the text ‘JUBILEE MINT’. Included is a Certificate of Authenticity from The Jubilee Mint, numbered ‘1691’ and signed by ‘Michael J. Byrne’. The certificate details the specifications as ‘Metal: 925/1000 Sterling Silver’, ‘Quality: Proof’, ‘Diameter: 38.61mm’, ‘Weight: 28.28g’, ‘Country of issue: Alderney’, ‘Denomination: £5’, and ‘Edition limit: 2,018’.

The coin appears to be in uncirculated proof condition with no visible signs of toning or surface marks. The protective capsule, presentation box, and Certificate of Authenticity (photos 1-3) appear to be in good order with no significant signs of wear.
