A United Kingdom 2018 five pound silver proof coin issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate four generations of the British Royal Family. The coin is struck in .925 sterling silver and features a mirrored proof finish. The obverse displays the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 5 POUNDS ·. The reverse, designed by Timothy Noad, shows four crowned monograms representing Queen Elizabeth II, Charles, Prince of Wales, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Prince George of Cambridge, inscribed E, C, W, and G within a central circle. This central design is encircled by the legend FOUR GENERATIONS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY and the date 2018. The coin is housed in a clear plastic capsule and presented in a black clamshell box with a purple and white card slipcase. The slipcase and the included commemorative booklet are both printed with the text Four Generations, One Historic Moment and The Royal Mint. The set includes a Certificate of Authenticity numbered 0965, which lists the technical specifications and carries the printed signature of Anne Jessopp, Deputy Master and Chief Executive. This release was limited to a maximum mintage and presentation of 5,000 units.

Condition report:

The coin remains in uncirculated proof condition with no visible toning, scratches, or handling marks (photo 2). The black presentation box and commemorative booklet show no significant signs of wear. The outer card slipcase exhibits minor shelf wear, including light scuffing to the surface and slight crushing to the corners (photo 1). The Certificate of Authenticity is in good condition with no creases or staining (photo 3).
