A set of ten UK commemorative coins and five stamps celebrating Prince Charles with presentation case. This lot comprises a collection of nine original British coins from 1948, the birth year of the Prince, including a halfcrown, florin, English shilling, Scottish shilling, sixpence, brass threepence, penny, halfpenny, and farthing. According to the accompanying documentation, these coins are plated in gold, silver, or bronze to replicate their original brilliance. Also included is a 1998 cupronickel five-pound crown issued for his 50th birthday, featuring a reverse portrait of the Prince for The Prince’s Trust. The philatelic component consists of five mint-condition stamps from the 1969 Investiture, depicting architectural details of Caernarvon Castle, a Celtic cross, and a portrait of the Prince. The items are housed in a black velvet-lined case with a numbered plaque reading THE PRINCE CHARLES 70TH BIRTHDAY HERITAGE SET 280 OF 499. The set includes a technical specifications booklet and a certificate of ownership signed by Michael J. Byrne.
