A collection of decorative owl figurines and ornaments in various styles and materials. The assortment comprises pieces crafted from ceramic, resin, cast stone, possibly soapstone, metal, and wood, alongside textile work. Larger items include a flat-backed tawny owl wall plaque with hand-painted details, a resin figure of an owl perched on a branch, and a smooth stone-effect owl sculpture. The collection also features a variety of smaller figures, including glazed ceramic examples in orange and white stripes or multi-tonal glazes, metal figures with pewter-tone or gold-tone finishes, and small carved stone owls. Additional items include a circular ceramic hanging ornament with floral and owl motifs, a carved dark wood owl, and a framed needlepoint depicting a tawny owl on a green ground. No manufacturer markings or signatures are visible on the items. This lot comprises the decorative items only; the shelving and any background materials shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition, although all pieces exhibit a significant accumulation of surface dust (photo 1). The wooden frame of the needlepoint displays light surface scuffing (photo 4). Minor shelf-wear and small surface abrasions are present on the resin and plaster items, consistent with age and use.
