This lot includes thirteen staple-bound or glue-bound The People’s Friend Pocket Novels in a run of issues numbering 976, 978, 980, 981, 982, 983, 985, 986, 987, 990, 992, 993, and the milestone issue 1000. The group also features a variety of non-fiction titles including a hardcover copy of Gardening in a Small Space, which carries a white adhesive label to the spine reading L A N J 6 7 1 C and a stylised white P in a black square publisher logo. The music biography CASH by the editors of Rolling Stone is present in hardcover, published by Virgin Books. Practical reference titles include the New Family Doctor Home Adviser, carrying the BMA British Medical Association logo and a white price sticker to the spine reading £ 1 . 0 0 and 4 – 1, and the softcover guide Carbs & Cals published by Chello Publishing, bearing a cello icon logo. Condition report:

The collection is in generally good pre-owned condition. The pocket novels show light creasing to the spines and minor edge wear (photo 1). The Gardening in a Small Space hardcover has small scuffs at the head and tail of the spine (photo 1). The New Family Doctor Home Adviser shows visible rubbing and shelf wear to the lower spine edge (photo 3). The Carbs & Cals softcover guide is well-preserved with sharp corners (photo 2), while the A Year with Yours 2016 annual has minor bumping to the spine ends (photo 2). No major tears or water damage are visible in the provided photographs.
