A collection of vintage decorative items and souvenirs comprising a variety of household ornaments, regional collectibles, and trinket boxes. The group features a black rectangular metal souvenir tray decorated with a map of Malta, the George Cross, and illustrations of ships and aircraft. Also included is a cream-coloured Quartz wall clock with a small white adhesive label on the glass reading ‘GLOUCE’, and a ceramic dish with a transfer-printed Highland dancer and the text ‘Nairn’ at the base. The lot contains a carved bamboo pencil holder depicting two pandas, a wooden deer head bust, a model lighthouse, and a large abalone shell. Various figurines are present, including a pug or bulldog, a black cat, and several folk figures. Further items include a red rectangular tin with a deer motif and a glass trinket box with a brass-coloured metal rim. This lot comprises the decorative items only; the shelf and cabinet shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The items are in used vintage condition with visible surface dust throughout. The metal souvenir tray shows minor tarnish and surface scratches to the edges (photo 1). The red deer tin has light surface wear (photo 1). The abalone shell has natural perforations which are a feature of the object rather than damage (photo 2). The clock has an adhesive label adhered to the glass front (photo 2). No significant chips or cracks are visible on the ceramic figurines, though they show minor signs of handling and age consistent with their type.
