The tapes are housed in standard plastic jewel cases with printed paper J-card inlays.
The collection includes a Supertramp Breakfast in America album featuring a printed label reading AUDIOPHILE and CHROMIUM DIOXIDE. Other notable albums include Styx Kilroy Was Here, Rick Wakeman No Earthly Connection, and Madonna The First Album. Alternative and new wave genres are represented by PJ Harvey To Bring You My Love, Erasure Crackers International, and Shakespear’s Sister Sacred Heart. Various compilation albums are present, including titles such as The Soul Album, Radio 1 FM Sessions, and Gratis Hits Vol. 1. A selection of cassette singles is included, notably Elton John Something About The Way You Look Tonight and Alanis Morissette You Learn. One case for Deacon Blue Raintown bears a small white adhesive label with handwritten text reading 50p. This lot comprises the audio cassettes only; the shelving unit shown in the images is not included.
Condition report:
The collection is in a varied, used condition. The plastic jewel cases exhibit typical signs of shelf wear, surface scuffing, and occasional cracks to the lids or missing hinge teeth (photo 1, 2). The paper J-card inlays generally appear bright and intact, though some show minor edge wear and light fading to the spines. A handwritten price sticker is present on one case (photo 2). The magnetic tapes are visually present and appear to be in good physical order, although they are sold as untested for playback quality and audio fidelity.
