A collection of approximately 25 anthropomorphic pig figurines and money boxes including examples from the Piggin and Pigtails ranges. The lot comprises a variety of small figurines cast in resin with a textured matte finish and larger money boxes in glazed ceramic. The resin figures are modelled in diverse poses, including examples holding Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday signage, a pig reading a stack of books, and another celebrating beside a cake. Several pieces bear adhesive labels to the undersides. White stickers on green felt bases read Piggin’ Special © 1996 DCCWAL/CWSL Hand Made, Piggin’ Happy Birthday by David Corbridge Hand Made © 1995 DC/CWAL/CWSL, and Piggin’ Shy © 1997 DC/CWAL/CWSL Hand Made. Further figurines feature circular white stickers with a pig face illustration reading PIGTAILS © 98 H.S.C. UK THAILAND and PIGTAILS © 92 H.S.C. UK THAILAND. The larger piggy banks are finished in pink and multi-coloured glazes. This lot comprises the figurines and money boxes only; the wooden shelving shown in the images is not included.
Condition report:
The resin figurines show no major visible chips or repairs, though surface dust is present throughout the collection (all photos). The large pink piggy bank displays some dark scuff marks and minor surface abrasions to the glaze (photo 1). The multi-coloured money box shows minor wear to the painted surface (photo 1).
