A collection of fine bone china tableware and decorative ornaments manufactured by Aynsley in the Pembroke pattern. The pieces are constructed from fine bone china and feature transfer-printed decoration of a multi-coloured exotic bird perched on a flowering branch, inspired by 18th-century oriental motifs. The designs utilize a palette of pink, blue, yellow, and green, finished with gilded rims. The white dial of the mantel clock is printed with Aynsley and ENGLAND in black text. A dark blue card box is printed with the name Aynsley in gold lettering. Several pieces bear small white adhesive labels with handwritten codes, including one reading 01208 P.
The assortment includes a variety of functional and decorative forms. Tableware pieces comprise two teapots, multiple jugs and creamers of varying sizes, lidded sugar bowls, and preserve jars. The decorative selection features a mantel clock with Roman numerals, two candlesticks including one with a hexagonal base, a shell-form posy vase, a reticulated fruit bowl, and several lidded trinket boxes. Small accessory items include a heart-shaped bowl, a rectangular pin dish, and a small rabbit figurine. This lot comprises the Aynsley ceramics only; the other background items shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs across the pieces shown (photos 1-5). The gilding remains bright and intact on the majority of the items (photos 1-4).
